New Horizons’ Mentored Learning Approach
This new learning approach is so effective - a New Horizons training center that
pioneered it was named Microsoft Certified Partner for Learning Solutions
Center of the Year – because of the success of New Horizons’ Mentored
Learning.
We start with a pre-assessment of your current skills. This assessment allows
you and your New Horizons Mentor to know exactly which strengths and weaknesses
need to be addressed during the learning process. The customized training that
follows is based on a one-on-one coaching relationship with the mentor, who is
a New Horizons and Microsoft Certified Trainer. This training includes
multimedia presentations by additional certified instructors, the same
authorized vendor courseware used in classroom training, plus a lab environment
that allows you to work through the same labs, workshops and hands-on exercises
used in our traditional New Horizons classroom setting. The Certified New
Horizons Mentor provides you with one-on-one coaching throughout the
entire process as your own “personal trainer.”
You learn at your own pace, so you can proceed quickly or slowly depending on the topic.
Then, after completing each course, you may take a post assessment test to gauge your
learning progress and readiness for certification exams if desired. And, when
you need additional courses, you may move to the next course immediately
or when convenient. Your schedule is almost infinitely flexible. You even can
schedule your learning sessions in half-day units as your time permits.
